Bournemouth with surprising win

With a very suprising win for the Cherries, man of the match, Dominic Solanke scored twice.

Punctually on the hour he found the back of the net and then 13 minutes later once again securing the Cherries much needed win which puts them three points ahead of the relegation zone.

Newcastle were sporting a "depleted" line up due to a mass of injuries and that wasn't helped when Miguel Almiron had to leave the field injured in the first half.
It is certain that Andoni Iraola will have had a huge sigh of relief after the performance. Not only did they win but they dominated.

Early on the visitors almost got ahead when Kieran Trippier's shot bounced off Neto.

However all in all Bournemouth doinated the first half with Bournemouth dominated a goalless first half with Nick Pope having to makeg four saves.

Several other good opportunities for the Cherries were unfortunately missed.

The match was an end to Newcastle's seven-match unbeaten run and dropped them down to sixth place, with 20 points.
